Artist Statement
Britt allows the intuitive process of arranging shapes and objects in various compositions to guide the outcome of her pieces. She uses texture, negative space, shadows and light as ways to respond to her experiences, memories and surrounding environment.
Theme: SCAPE
My surroundings play a big part in my creative process. Since moving to the Mornington Peninsula 4 years ago I have found inspiration in the subtleties of the changing seasons - the light and colours of the natural environment and the feeling of the shifting temperatures influence the shapes, colours and textures in my work.
